Boston Terminal Company.
Incorporated in 1896 to provide a single terminal for all Railroad lines entering Boston from the South. Each of the railroads involved maintained a 1/5 interest in the company. They where the Boston and Albany Railroad, the New England Railroad Company, the Boston and Providence Railroad, the Old Colony Railroad, and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Construction was completed in 1899 on what is now know as "South Station" and it quickly became the busiest station in the country.
