Boston, Clinton and Fitchburg Rail-Road Company. Renamed from The Agricultural Branch Railroad in 1867. It ran from Northborough to Sterling along North Brook (near Assabet River). In 1869, it consolidated with the Fitchburg and Worcester Railroad. It leased the New Bedford Railroad Company in 1874 and renamed itself to The Boston, Clinton, Fitchburg and New Bedford Rail-Road Company.
