Torrent Aqueduct Association. Incorporated in 1849, when the owner of an existing aqueduct made of logs raised capital to expand the operation of delivering water to the city of Concord New Hampshire. The water sources where springs at the base of Sand Hill. As the city grow so did its water needs and the Association. Eventually, all stock in the company was purchased by the city in 1873 as part of its establishment of a public water works.
