Hampton Mining and Smelting Company. Located in Boston, this company formed in 1863 when it purchased existing lead mining properties in North Hampton for $450,000 from Thomas E. Hastings. The company did produce lead, copper and coal but failed to make a profit and folded in 1865.
Stock. Issued in 1863 to R. W. Sears. #47.
