Brockton and Plymouth Street Railway Company. Organized in 1889 by the engineering firm of "Stone & Webster". They purchased the "Brockton and Kingston Railway" and tor up its tracks, replacing them on a series of unimproved dirt roads that would eventually become Route 27. They also built there own power staation in Plymouth to handle the electrical needs.
The company still exists today, however rail service was replaced by Bus service in 1928.
