The Stockbridge Casino Company. The Stockbridge Casino Building was designed by Stanford White and opened in 1888. After falling into dis-repair, it was moved across town and converted into the Birkshire Playhouse which opened in 1928. Its still active today as the Berkshire Theatre Festival and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
