American Steamship Paddle=Wheel Company. A highly specialized Boston manufacturing company that provided Paddle Wheels to the steam boat builders of New England. Disolved in 1872.
Stock. Issued in 1865. #16. Issued to and signed as President by Charles C. Dane. This may have been an early "incentive" offering to the President. It came with an unusual note which requires Dane to pay $500 to the company if he were to sell the stock before six months. Par value for the stock was $5000.
