The Agawam Canal Company. Constructed and ran a large cotton Mill (1000 spindles) in West Springfield. Agawam was the original town name of Springfield.

Although bearer bonds, the initial purchasers of these bonds where the directors of the company. Interestingly, E. Trask and James Kirkham where both city officials as well as directors.
